As already stated that alphabet coloring pages are specially designed for preschool children, however they can also be used for toddlers, kindergarten students, and also for first grade students who are little slow in learning. They have been designed to have good and positive impact on the learning capacities of children.
Another way to teach colors to toddlers is to create a recognition page that you can show and talk about with your toddler. You can do this in two ways. One way is to put pictures of red objects together on a document on your computer and print it out. Another way is to collect red pictures from a magazine, etc. and glue them to a paper. However, with either way you choose to create a recognition page, make sure that the pictures you are using are 99% red. It is okay to have some other colors on the picture like a brown stem on a red apple. But, you don't want to confuse your child by mixing different colors in your picture. To use the page simply sit your child down and talk to them about the red things that are on the paper. Use phrases like, "See the red apple," "The apple is red" or "See the red picture."
These days color by number books can be found in various forms. You could choose among different fairy tales characters and/or animals, autos and so on and so forth. If your child is in love with Winnie-the-Pooh, then you may find a lot of colour by number games with the heroes of this toon.
You can create your own book full of simple coloring pages. You only need enough strong quality paper and a creative eye to sketch the images. The images should have thick lines to show distinctive features. You can make coloring books of the alphabet, nature, numbers, the world and countries, animals or cartoons. However, you should keep in mind that the book should not only be a fun filled coloring thing but an educative tool too. In addition, keep it go for simple shapes that even the toddler can try to sketch.
All types of alphabet coloring pages available over the internet are an extension of Preschool Alphabet activities and crafts work. They have been designed in such ways that create interest in the minds of children. Simply teaching the preschools with boring alphabets may have negative impact on them. They may not find things interesting and may feel that you go too strict with them when they cannot pronounce or write the letters or able to relate to objects or things that start with the any alphabet initially. For instance they may find it difficult to remember tough words like 'H for Horse or House or Home.' You may think it is silly, but remember they are small kids, what is easy for you may not be easy for them.
A good parenting must consider the understanding about the preschool period of child. According to studies, preschool period of child's life cycle is vital to convey awareness. In every country, children often start school when they are just three years old and spend two years in the preschool or kindergarten section of the school before they start Year 1 - first grade - at the age of five or six. When it comes to learning, parents can help with number awareness - being able to recite from one to 10 is not the same as understanding the value and place of numbers. Talk to your child about quantities, for example, five is bigger than two. Concentrate on counting; playing dominoes and simple board games, such as Snakes and Ladders, will teach children how to count while making it fun.
